You always get pleasure from hanging out in your patio. At all times, you will get that cozy and warm feeling of staying on the patio. Especially at night, when the cold breeze sweeps through your body and you just need some form of heat to keep you longer outside as you are enjoying the wonderful moment.
Getting heat from someone is easy when you are around friends and families. Sweet hugs and embraces can give some body heat during cold nights at the patio. But what about the long lasting kind of heat? That kind of heat provided when you can totally entertain yourself and other people within your patio while doing some other activities is a great deal.
You may buy the best kind of Patio Heaters, but remember also that even the most reliable brand name can have some flaws in it. Flaws which can be technical or those that are caused simply by careless handling of owners.
And so, there are important tips on how to care for your Patio Heaters. These tips are generally applicable to all types of heaters. Just be sure you do them right or else you will do more damage to what has already been smashed up.
One of the parts of the Patio Heater is the pilot lighter. The pilot is responsible for holding the fire inside the heater. One problem that you will mostly encounter with this is when you thought that the pilot is blocked by something. So then, you will probably do some drilling to make a hole on the pilot. This is really a big ‘NO’.
For your information, the pilot lighter already has a hole on it. It is where the fire will come out. And so when you will drill it out, you are actually making an even bigger hole that will eventually make the pilot a flame thrower. Because the hole is bigger this time, and so the fire that will come out if it once lit will also be bigger, hotter, and more dangerous.
What you should do beforehand is to check if there is still gas and if the line is open. You can determine this when you smell and hear the release of the gas from the gas hose. Put into mind that you should never smoke or let anybody smoke when the gas is open. You know already what happens when smoking around open gas lines.
Also check the ignitor. You can do this by pushing with your thumb its other end. When you hear the sharp sting and the clicking sound, then it is working properly. If you experience none, then it is time to buy a new one.
The thermocouple and the electromagnetic valve are one of the consumable parts which you should check very often. For the latter, you can check for lighting problems by unscrewing it. Use the plumber tape to reseal the joints and before lighting the burner check it with a leakage test.
